Monday

Yesterday I planned to share some miscellaneous cards and posted the Eclectic Flower die instead. So this morning I will play catch up with my camera stick!!

This is the Center stage die from Paper trey ink (ink to paper).

an old wooden stamp... maybe Art Impressions. Looks plain, but really pretty.
Another one of these... The paper is a 6x6 pad of paper. This one is in shades of green, there is a red, purple, teal (my favorite) and more. They are 100# cs and come from Memory Box. The flowers on one of the previous posts were cut from the teal scraps!

This features a Sizzix winter die. Frame comes with tiny poinsettia, tiny pinecone & extra foliage. I used the magnolia flowers from Miss ink. Again bad jell pen, bad shading. Pretty stamps. Just me this time.

These are border dies from Creative Expressions from a couple years ago. I did another post at that time, and I like them better than what I did last week. Go figure! Kudo to me for using old dies!!

Not sure if I posted these. Creative Expressions.

This that is about all for today, thank you for looking!

Remember those who gave it all for their country.

Sunday May 30th.

Happy Memorial day! Let us not forget those who sacrificed for us. Yesterday I tried to share a few miscellaneous cards that I finally had time to photograph. So, lets just get started.

Both dies sets are from Concord & 9th. The card above features the Eclectic garden flower die. The set includes the 2 layered hummingbirds. Beautiful! In the card above I used the banner builder. Yep, I lost it & have spent HOURS trying to find it! Trust me, everyone needs one. I might have to order another.
Thinking you words, and flower frame can be used separately, but it is so easy and makes a quick lovely card!

The eclectic garden easily placed  on a geometric background.

Aren't these hummingbirds precious? This is about it for today. Have a nice weekend.

                                    Thanks for looking!

Saturday May 29th

Hi to everyone! Not quite 100 degrees today, 93 now, 97 later... Ok, it will probably be a hot summer here! Seems to be starting early this year. Today I have pictures or some assorted cards. Lets get started!!

You really didn't need six pic's of the same card, but there is a lot of stuff on one card. The basic flowers are called 'friendship blooms'. Love the words & leaves in the set. The oval & flowers are from Pinkfresh studio. The paper is heartfelt creations... it is older and I am not sure of the name, but it matched the flowers.

Same flower stamp & die set from Pinkfresh studio. The stencil background is from Pinkfresh studio too. There are layered stencils for the stamps. Used copics on this blue card & watercolor on the embossed card above.

Was going to share a couple more, but can't get anything to load, so, maybe tomorrow!

                                 Thanks for looking !

Friday May 21

Good Morning! Here are a couple 'cutie' cards for you to see. Love this set. I think it is Heffy doodle, although I do repackage my dies. Sometimes I keep it, and sometimes I don't. Again, I think the mushrooms and some foliage came with the slim line die. The 'birdies' are Garden friends & Garden party from Hello Bluebird stamps.

Below is a die cut made with the simon says 'thanks, smile, hello,hi, and Love you. Words come out as letters and the 'hello, hi' is a stencil type. All in all it leaves this frame opening. Bibi Cameron does a great design.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V679ZrZnPBI

So I didn't wait for the Spring birds from Simon Says.... I just went ahead and did this with my little critters! Changed the dimension just a bit too. I did the overall measurement 4 3/4 x 6 3/4. It allowed more on the side and bottom frame. But it isn't a mini slimline.
That is it for today! I am off to another  Paper Bunny garage sale! Yeah!
                                       Thanks for looking !

Tuesday

Late again! I promise this won't be so 'wordy'. Just want to show you what I came up with using the Spellbinders Simply Perfect Layered Booms die set. For the square card below, I used another Spellbinders wreath die. It just says 'wreath' on the package. Comes with some cute teeny flowers. I will use them next time!

For some reason I can't change the size on these last three cards. The flowers are soo versatile and pretty! Love how easy they are and how different they can look. Sometimes just the color!

                                        Thanks for looking!

Sunday

Good morning! Yes, I have been super busy with cards, and paper 'stuff'! I haven't posted as I have a dozen things started and NOT finished!! If you are a crafter, I am sure you can relate. Some of the projects are flowers.. and you know how many days that can take. Each card has over a dozen flowers on it, so be sure and take a few days to prepare ahead! I will treat you to Yana Smakulas video and you see what I am talking about. In a couple days I will show you the ones I actually finished! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRK_1BQD780 I did copy & paste the link in my browser and it worked. Sorry you can't just click.

As most of you know I have stamps, inks and dies in our third bedroom. Repeat that for the second bedroom. Now repeat & add computers, printers, stamps in the fourth bedroom. Good grief, we don't have a dining room as it is for stamping. Light is good in there. So onto my last mess...... the kitchen ISLAND! For 2 days we couldn't use it! AWK!

Yes, I got the Gemini Hot foil machine and I have very mixed feelings about it. I also had a Minc & the reactive foils. So it is a whole 'new' thing. Watch a you tube by Sara Davis from Crafters Companion. She mentioned that you can use your regular dies.
This one linked is a nice comparison by Carissa Wiley https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S83a-hz84sI   again just copy &  paste. Yanna has one too...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=En8Mg9_mYnE   Like how she hinges the word die. As you can see, that is about all I accomplished in 2 plus days.

The 'word' and star dies are specific to 'Hot foiling' The leafy frame is from altnew & I tried numerous times to make it look like it had an outline in gold... Waste waste. Sara Davies did say (since I couldn't find her link just now), that if you did say a 'regular rectangle' die you need to fussy cut it out after foiling as the cut lines will cut into the foil. Thats why you need to spend $$$$ on foiling dies. Then one more thing for now.... Getting the excess foil off the card is a real chore. Yana's 'hinge' method is necessary, as well as cutting your foil as close to the size of  the die you are using.

I hated the thought of putting it away.... when will I use it again... and will I really get anything done if I take it out???? We'll see, the mixed feelings still remain.

                         Thanks for listening!

May 7th

Wow it is the 7th of May already. Today I have some miscellaneous cards to share! I did have fun working with the old and new dies or stamps. Lets get started!!

This is one of Stamperia's paper packs. English Garden, and the die is from Mariannes.
The next two cards feature the 'slim' cake stamp from Stampendous, and the Papertrey ink Center stage background die.

Ali Express for the sentiment 'You are simply the best'

Waffle flower Oversized 'Hello' die. Beautiful.
Designer paper tag and the Center Stage die again.

Idea I saw from Stampin' up.

For the card above, I used a die cut that I printed with an inkjet and then took the copy to kinkos (years ago) and had them print it with toner ink. I then ran it through the Minc. Worked! Although I did finally order the Gemini hot foil machine. .... Just waiting for it!!
Tim Holtz feathers & the Waffle Flower oversize Hello.
