Monday February 21st

February 21st!! Not Christmas, but more Christmas ideas! I usually try to keep the ones that I make the first of the year till July of that year. But this time I just want to share!

                                     Love the goofy bird!

Yes, these are the new cozy bear from Tim Holtz. I opted for the scenic. I used last 2 different TH mountain sets. But I used the Marianne tree dies. The TH dies were late getting here.

This is 'Mr. Frost' and yes, he is cute in his own way. And he is soo easy to assemble. Of course the 'Let it Snow' and the 'Hello Winter' words go with almost any winter scene.
                                      Thanks for looking today!

VALENTINES DAY 2022

Happy Valentines day!  Today I am featuring the Spellbinders January stamp of the month heart frame. I used it for foiling in the last post, and really never made a completed card. It worked pretty well. Anyway, once I started using it, (as with so many things), I didn't want to quit!

This is the pretty center heart. It foiled, yes, the die foiled beautifully! Below is the die and a pieced section of the heart.

Added 'for someone special' & Time to celebrate. Just shows the versatility of this die.

love the red charger plate ...........blah

Got out the sewing machine for these red & blue cards.

Its early early (7:00 am here), so go have an unbelievable day Happy Valentines! Thanks for looking!

February 12th

This is the 'more family' eating last week. And of course some crafting!

                                            More eating!

                                       Flaming Fajitas.

Now the crafting....... Actually, Dawn & I did the 'foil' for a couple days before Doug and Heather came to visit.

Busy making our usual mess. We foiled pieces and words and really didn't make a finished card. .....Below is varigated foil on a solid plate. Awful. The butterfly was a die cut 'foiled' on the solid plate. The butterfly looks good...but now I am thinking she tried to use the reverse (or waste), to foil the butterfly!

I suppose this doesn't count, it is a Magenta stamp that is at least 20 years old and never used.  Not foil, but cute kitty!

                                         Thanks for looking!

February 11th

More gilding polish... love this stuff! Although I had Golden glazes in the store a long time ago, and since they are a 'glaze' they don't dry out. Some of my unused polishes were bad. I think the difference in the paste (metallic paste particularly), is that it is much brighter in color than the glaze. I used the gold, and it is more subtle than the polish, and I used the hunter green. Some polish is on the wall, but the real 'polish' was used on the lantern and the candle base.

Don't  you love the 'brick' wall 3-D folder.
One more with the brushed oxide background. No brick wall, but of course the lanterns are made with the gilding polish  in various colors on black paper. Darker lantern, just different combinations of the polish.

Hope you enjoy! Stay tuned for more company & crafty stuff!!
