Penny Black Stitched Flowers

A few cards for you to see today. More from Penny Black Stamps featuring another flower with what I call a 'whimsical look'. These 3 cards are easily stamped with memento ink, and colored with copic markers.

The words are from Penny Black Stamps too. And the little cute butterflies are from a Sizzix set that came with stamps of flowers & dies mixed. It is an older set.
Thanks for looking,

Pretty pretty morning!

Such a nice morning here. Without more talk about our nice sunshiny and lovely morning lets see some pretty 'lovely' cards!

This is the Altenew stamp set called Garden Treasures. I have had it awhile, but then, I have so many 'new/old unused' stamp sets. Remember I had a store 20 plus years ago, and some of the stamps have never been used yet! Pathetic.

This one above features the cut out flowers layered on a card. The one below is stamps directly on the card. The words are from two Penny Black sets. The 'heartfelt thanks ' set is called Heartfelt. The word set below 'hope' is called T-transparent.

Did see this idea, but can't remember where or if it was a different flower set! The 'WISHES" word is a cutaway from Winnie and Walter Stamp company

Sue Wilsons  Californian background

That is it for today. Thanks for looking,

What a great view of the Las Vegas strip ! I did take this picture from Las Vegas Boulevard. I was on the 29th floor at a timeshare that day.

Most of the world knows that there was an attack in Las Vegas sunday night at an outdoor concert. There were 527 injured and 59 killed. It was horrific. I started to go on a 'rant' about the left politicizing. Yes, some are even vowing not to respect the minute of silence for the deceased. I am again, that word,  'horrified', that regular men and women would chose to blame the president, the climate, the trumptards, the republicans, and etc:, for one mans evil. These same people have children and grandchildren, yet they seem to relish more hate and divisive evil. Try to think of the families of the victims, and the first responders that have been affected by this tragedy. Think about and read the stories of  the everyday heros here. You can read some heartwarming stories of appreciation and love by strangers. Please don't listen to Hollywood. They have armed security for themselves, and they are not giving that up. Besides none of us really 'live' that life. Sorry, I did rant alittle!

Minutes before, everyone raised their lighted-up cell phones and sang "God Bless America" in unison. They said 22,000 people.

Ps. I live here.

On a roll!

This time I am sharing some cards that my friend Emily made. The feathers are either from or they are Mariannes dies or both! I really did know at the time. The 'retro' background die is from My Favorite things. Emily mixed pattern paper and grey paper. She added a touch of bling with sequins!

Next card she used the diagonal cover plate also from My Favorite Things. They cycle cames from Wish. Don't you love the flower on the wheel? 'Wishes' came from Winnie & Walter.

Sept 23rd....

This is what happens when I don't blog all month! Yes, August 30th was the last one. Wow. I could tell you the first of the month was busy with company. Well, we baked Italian cookies and a luscious red cake ahead of  time. So maybe 6 days of 'busy', and this is the 23rd already!

Not sure where to start. Lets start with couple of my miscellaneous cards.
Another card using Unity stamp set.
                                                           This is a digi stamp

Another from Unity Stamps.
Rose stamp from Brutus Monroe
Check out the next post!
I think I am on a roll.

August Mushroom madness!

It is still in the 100's here! I've been doing Christmas cards, but I will share them later. For now it is really to early. I feel like they are more enjoyable when the season matches!

Today I wanted to show you another stamp set from Unity Stamps. Mushrooms and snails, I am not sure of the 'name' of the set. It features several word stamps for 'snail mail, feeling sluggish', so you can use it for a lot of different occasions.

These are so fun to play with!

As long as we could...

As long as we could is never long enough. We had our Zoeie for 15 years and 10 months. What a great furry friend. Yesterday we said 'good-bye'.
July or August 2017. She had lost about 30 pounds. She finally couldn't get up.
This looks like Chrismas 2016. She would be 15 here.
She would throw herself down on the floor and roll like a puppy! She still did this a couple months ago!

This is my favorite picture. I think it was taken in about 2015 when she would have been 13. Such beautiful eyes. Such a beautiful heart.
She loved her Gracie. This was about 8 years ago since Gracie will be 8 in December. Our time doesnt last long enough with our friends.

On a happier note!

On a happier note, I would like to share some pictures that I did recently.

Another one with the Marianne die.

Penny Black die "Glee" Used the oxide inks for the background and the copics for the shadows.
Another "oxide ink" background with the image directly stamped on the paper first. Yes, these are Penny Black 'word stamps'.

August 18th

Have to say a bunch of words about PC laptops before posting some pictures. PC laptops built my computer about 8 years ago. I loved the computer, the service and the fact that I have lifetime maintence on the computer.  I took it in July 2nd for one of my twice a year services. They tried to sell, sell, sell. They talked like my computer was 'trash', they did sell me more space. I did see that I needed that. When I didn't bite on the $2,100.00 computer, they were disgusted. Bottom line two things that everyone needs to know about the Henderson Nevada store. They lied to me twice. Just stupid stuff, like I called you & they didn't. The other lie was, Saturday we left the computer for the update. And Monday when I called to see if it was ready, it wasn't, and the one guy said they didn't know what I wanted done. They lied about saying that later. The computer wasn't ready till thursday. We made a useless trip Monday to get it...won't be done at 3:30, but come get it at 5:30. So that isn't the worst part. I had photoshop CS5 on it. I wouldn't have done the update if I thought they would lose it, and they did. My husband remembers they assuring us "no problem" to the transfer. They program was a gift, and so I didn't have a disc.
The killer is that they installed a TRIAL program that they thought I wouldn't notice (?), that I would have to pay for in 30 days!! Yeah. $50.00 a month for the CS5 extended program that I had. They offered $200.00 back for the work done. I tried to think that was okay, but it isn't. My computer has more problems now than ever before. I signed up for their 'remote' tech support, and paid $19.99 a month. Just trying to stay loyal to PC laptops.
One more thing about profiling, I personally think, the younger generation, (the employees) at PC laptops saw 'middle- oh, old" people come in and assumed they were stupid. PS I didn't take the $200.00. The program was $1100. new, lifetime maintence gone because of lack of trust, that is money as well.  So Henderson Nv, watch out for PC laptops

So what a treat!

I went outside Sunday and there were hundreds of butterflies in my flowers. Thought you might like it if I share some of the pictures.
Hope you enjoyed!

Great day to share!

Yes, it is a great day to share some pretty cards I've made over the last month. Emily suprised me with the lovely die. It is a card square that is easily done. I cut a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 square card, and with the card open,  I ran the die through on the front of the card. I added some DP to accent and stabilize the card under the butterfly image, and on the inside to carry out the theme.

She got the die from Check it out!

If you do order from wish, be mindful of the sizes. I have received some 'label' dies that were smaller than I thought. Em has a big squirrel! The measurements are in mm or cm. So click on the description of the item, so you won't be supprised.

Friday & Saturday in July

Yes, it is still hot here. What better way to spend a weekend than at a garage sale put on by the local stamp store! The Paper Bunny is about the only store left here in Las Vegas that carries a full range of all things 'crafty'.  She set up a sale for anyone who had used 'goodies' to sell. Goodies included, punches, dies, a cricut, xyron, rubber stamps, stamp sets, and paper paper paper. Did I mention I bought paper??  Here is a look at my $29.50 stash.

There is a whole prima "fairy" collection in this one. Notice the 4 sets of stamps. I think they were 5.00, then there are 3 more sets of stamps (not pictured). Wow! They were $2.50 Good sale.

Made two collage cards from one of the paper collections this morning. So summery!
