October 11th

Always a day of reflection for me. Yes, it is 'just a dog'. But she was a furry, funny, goofy, crazy girl. I honor her every Oct 11th & think of her all the time. Her name is Gracie. You have seen her before as it has been 3 years since we lost her to kidney failure. She was only 8 1/2, although the vet called her a senior. She did antics of all kinds. We will probably remember her on her back, kicking her legs, 'talking' her doggie talk, and try to get our attention. It worked! We laughed every single day.. It was a routine as much as her treat times. People who don't have a dog really miss out. Here is Gracie!

                                        She is looking!

We called  her antic 'mini pinning' why, I am not sure. We had lots of names for her.

We looked at shelters, puppy stores (no), then we heard of this dog that was just born Oct. 18th. To make a long story short, we traveled 1000 miles to get her  Dec 18th  2018. So yeah, we have had Lucy Lou for 3 years now. See if this rings a bell ...... ha.

This is our life now. check the orneriness in the eyes! It owns the place and us. She does a couple baby whines and we go running.........yup. That is the way it is.

                                    Growly butt is a nickname.

Trust me it is LUCKY Lucy Lou!
