Monday July 19th

Happy Monday! July seems to be the month of birdhouses and butterflies! Getting ready to mail to two different organizations that need 'thinking of you' or just general cards that can be used for any occasion. Birds, birdhouses and flowers are my favorites. The first ones I made were my own pattern. It is like the 'Scrappy Tails' birdhouse or house die.

Used a wood grain embossing folder for the one above. Scrappy Tails has a 'wood grain and brick' die in the slimline format. Love them, but didn't have them when I made these.

The cards below, (though not quite done), show the actual wood grain and brick dies!

                              Next ones are smaller.

Yes, I did the extra large setting for this one. I love the little bird die. It is from Spellbinders 'sweet birds on a branch' dies. AND I did get my hot foil machine and one of the hot foil dies ordered was the 'mini sentiments'. Love these!
I  used the gold or silver foil on most of these, as that is what I use. Did get some red foil for the holiday season.
Hope you enjoyed & thanks for looking!

Friday July 16th

Just nice, pretty, couple of cards to share this morning! These are the layered or build a flower from Altenew. They are so easy and fun to make. I have more 'ready' for their home soon. Enjoy!

Thanks for looking!

Friday July 9th

More flowers, birthday and cards, in the slim line arrangement. So, how did I get here? Long story or short story? This is really what happened. I made the 5 'mini' slimline cards using the Sue Wilson flower dies. I had so much fun, I decided to make some more minis using some 'little/if ever' used card stock. Add 3 more mini slim lines. Used some of that brown cs. yes, and more cs from 2 other companies. Authentique is one of them, the other could be Recollections. That brings me to the soooo, I could just graduate to the regular 3 5/8 x 8 7/8 slim line size!! Here they are! Hope you like them.

The butterflies on these cards are concord & 9th layered butterflies. The 'you're all kinds of wonderful' is from the Pinkfresh Friendship blooms stamp set.

These are the Spellbinder daisy foil dies. Really pretty!

Tim Holtz  brush flower #2... The words are from The ton.

Thanks for looking & stay cool!

More flowers

Yes, there are lots more flowers! This group of cards feature the Creative expressions dies by Sue Wilson called elegant arrangement. There are 22 dies in the set. They include various vases and floral. I chose to make mine in the 'mini' slim line format. I used the Taylored expressions dies, the basic & the scalloped  designs. I may have used the Pink fresh slimline bundle here too. They are easily interchangeable.

This at least shows some of the pretty dies. The alphabet die came from an old tattered lace magazine.

yes, I will replace the vase on this one!

July 3rd!!

July already! Have a few cards to share. Love this simple, simple die from My Favorite things. What a sweet little card. It is a mini slimline and layered with dies from Pinkfresh studio. Although, you really can do these without the dies. Just color your flowers to match  your paper and walla (?) you are done.

I think the name of the die is 'freshly picked' & yes, I did feature it on this blog. So it is an older die from MFT.

Thanks for looking & Happy 4th of July!
