Tuesday May 29th

Hello friends! Have some wonderful little booklets to share today. I used Becca Feeken's Grand Cabinet card die. Love this intricate die in a card or the book! So lets get started! I have a mint green & black combination first.

The 'pocket' on the front is a Heartfelt creations die. Actually I am using it upside down!

I like how the pages are opened  up. I do need more embellishment on this book.

I like how this shows the die . This is the last two pages. As I said I need to finish.

Love the pink and black combo! I used the same pocket on the front. I just decided on flowers rather than bows!

Used another "arch die" from the Chantilly lace collection.  This one is the one I used for my Easter cards!

I this this is out of order, but  it does show the colors nicely!

Anolther busy Saturday!

Today busy means grocery shopping , bank. box stores, post office. Whew! Glad that is done for the week. I have a few more 'turnabout' cards to share. One or two more dahlias. Did I say I was obsessed? Oops, one more monochromatic 'dotty' card! There is a tutorial with this one, and she uses the Sizzix dotted rectangles, square or circles. I used the hemstitch from Spellbinders for my circles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixZkMilocNg&feature=share

I didn't try the link so hope it works for you!

This is the 'half ' dahlia. Like the color and the placement!

Another dahlia in green, but this one features the next turnabout called Sunshine.I just used it for the background on this one.

Saturday in May

It is the last Saturday in May already! I have some cards to share today. This week I've been obsessed with the Concord & 9th 'turnabout' stamps! I said I didn't need them, but I was so wrong! They are easy, elegant and versatile. Have a look! The dahlia is my favorite, or can you tell? The first one shows the 4 color combinations and turns that are recommended

Love the monochromatic look of the next ones.

Made some of the inside papers like the outside.

This one was one of the first ones I made & I really missed the turns! Just shows you can pretty well cover up the mistakes!

I just wanted to try embossing. Three of the colors are embossed. Egyptian gold (Judikins), and detail silver and gold.

This one shows the use of the 'die cut', so pretty!

This is the dotty turnabout. It comes with the little dot outline, and shaded dots. Cute

I have more to add as soon as I can  photograph them! Stay tuned!

A Tuesday in May!

May has been super busy, so I am afraid that I haven't been able to share this months photos! Busy weekends with family from out of state. Really nice visit with Al & Betty. They have a timeshare at Tahiti village, and one Saturday we got to hang out at the 'lazy river'. Really pretty! Al & Allen's sister, Alice came in from Idaho. She stayed at the Tahiti village, and we were able to visit with her too. I wish I had taken pictures! Al & Betty come about every two years, so yes, this was a treat!

Then last week I started with this cold. Ugh. It is hanging in there, but better today (day 5).  No cards for part of the week . No photos, just whining. I do that well! Here are just a couple  miscellaneous cards I made with the YOU die. Not sure where I got it. Just don't use the alphabets very often.

This last shaker card was done with designer paper only. Fun!
