Monday August 29th

Happy afternoon to everyone! This might be just a little long, so hope you enjoy! I've been working on these for weeks, and my plan is to donate them to a charity for children.

The multiple sets of dies are Honey Bee stamps. The two sets on the right represent a wider rainbow and a narrow rainbow. The set on the left is the die for the 'shaped' rainbow. And the three dies below are embellishment dies. Add cloud, sun, & heart dies.

The mess in the middle are some of my cut dies for later!

Next are the stamps, the rainbow embellishments stamps, the rainbow word stamps and the Rainbow die. Some of the 'Rainbow words are embossed, some are foiled.

Not all are 'reds', have some pretty pastels too!  OH, two more reds ! That is it for today.

                                                           Thanks for looking!

August 26

Wow, a whole week just buzzed by! I am still working on the Rainbows from Honey Bee stamps, but am not quite ready to photograph them! Today I want to share some 'Summer' cards.

The glassses dies are from 'Stamp it' stamps.

The word on the glasses is 'way cool'. I used diamond glaze on it, and it really looks better  aside from the photograph!
Here is an extra die from Crafty Meraki. This is such a nice tag. I have the happy birthday too. Just haven't finished one of those yet! For now, just LOVE .

Thanks for looking!

Friday

This is a different post. No cards, no weather, no politics just a quick rundown on an issue that we all face. The book is NEVER by Ken Follett. I said that earlier today. Not my favorite, but nonetheless, enlightening considering the issues that are America today.

The book is about a country (US) facing nuclear war. There were factions facing the US president that were phenomenal. Just to shortcut what I am thinking is that the president and (maybe other leaders), had to weigh the reactions of each of many adversaries. They had to respect the treaties that were in place and of course, even in fiction, war was the last  option. If one country did something stupid, do you retaliate, or how do you retaliate without provocation. What are the consequences if you don't react? And, even disagreements and traitors in your own people weigh in on the outcome.

So here is the BIGGEST thought for today. Does the US have a real leader that is capable of thinking about the best interest of the American people. Could our president sit for hours with others and make those decisions in a coherent way?

COME ON MAN............... Do you think that would work? I think we seriously need to think about the consequences here.

I have to say it ............ The guy can't put on his coat without his wife helping him.

We need a change before we get in more trouble in the world.

Still have 150 pages of the book to read.... and am anxious to finish now that my eyes have been refreshed with sleep... Okay, another set of cards to share. This is a Spellbinder card maker. Or a shaped card die. I didn't want to quit making these...

                              vellum, colored on the back

                             Loved making these!

Hope you enjoy & Thanks for looking!

Friday August 19th

Reading a book for the last couple days. 800 pages of waring...... not what I expected, but it is okay. Never, by Ken Follett. So I have been cutting dies in between reading, but haven't put a card together for awhile.

Wasn't sure if I should post these or not. They were made a while ago. I just am waiting to put the sentiment on the front when needed. Probably some jewels too!  It is a Spellbinder die. I like the brush with the flowers too... but I opted for the cute little butterflies!

Yes, I could have varied the direction of the brush. Maybe next time!

                                          Hope you enjoy

Tuesday August 9th

Well maybe some cheery news in the world today... If only we could just concentrate on our crafts instead of our divisions...So here we go! The cheery part.

These are LDRS Stamps. I used copic markers to color the images.

The background is an 8x10 embossing folder. Not sure where it was made. Crafters companion maybe??

Both this big image, and the 'half' daisy stamp are in this set.

                                   Thanks for looking!

August 2nd

August comes in cloudy off and on. And the temperature has been in the low 100's or 90's. Nice, but still inside 'crafty ' weather.  For today, I am late featuring the 'Be bold bloom' dies from Spellbinders. Actually, these came from China faster than from the US. I know I probably shouldn't say this, but it is annoying that I have had them on backorder since January.  I probably would have had them sooner, but I kept thinking they would come from the U.S..

Cut ALOT of different colors of flowers. Organized by color, and leaves. When I needed to make a card they are ready! Do this with different 'flower' sets. Used the containers with the compartments.  These cards are standard size.
The background is from Pocket Full of Happiness. This might be new 'go to' die!
Next are the 'mini slim lines'

Both of the Slim lines are beautiful, just not so much, the photographs!
