May 23rd!

Happy Monday! Today I have cards to share using Tim Holtz Bold Text dies. When I ordered the dies which have 6 word blocks included, I got busy and made a bunch of sponged backgrounds. Most are with the oxide inks, but you could use other inks, or just designer papers. Here are just a few of the cards...

There are a bunch of these with plain backgrounds. I got so excited over the 'tiny cactus' die that I just kept making them. And I am sorry I have no idea where it came from.

Another obsession, the Modern Artistry/Sizzix flower dies. Wow. You will see them again!!
                           Now the more 'colorful' choices!

These are the new Spellbinder square tiles.

I think there is one more.

Needs a happy balloon! Maybe a hat?
                                           Thanks for looking!

Sunday

Good morning! Lovely warm Sunday at about 6:30 AM. Have a couple cards to show. These are the Tulip dies from Craftymeraki. https://craftymeraki.com/products/athena-meraki-flora-para-dies?_pos=2&_sid=a69d70025&_ss=r&variant=39781912903770

This shows the dies which are totally unassuming. I got them and thought, oh sure. Yes, I was wrong, they are so nice. Love the background slimline dies too. Lets get started...

Remember this one with the 'chickies' from April....

Used the gilded polish on the pot. It started as black paper and evolved! The Just a note is from Pinkfresh studio. It is part of the perfect sentiments set. That means you can either use the stamp, or the hot foil plate, then cut out all the sentiments with one die. I love that set! Oh, the sentiment was cut from the gilded polished paper.

                                                         Thank you for looking!

Monday

Good Morning!! Just wanted to share one, yes, one card today! This is a 3 tiered collapsible pillar card. I found the instructions here

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63vxsKh41j4  The base is really easy. This is more than I would normally do, but it is for someone special!

The little boy & the monkey are stickers. The giraffe, Audrey, the zebra, Agnes, the Lion, Harrison are all colorize dies from sizzix / Tim Holtz. I see the zebra 'ears' are obscuring the lion in the photo.

Monday May 16th

Happy Monday to everyone!! Been working hard on Spellbinders Kalidescope dies. So many cards done, and so many in progress. In any case, those will wait another day, week, or two or three! So much for that, here are todays cards that were done about a month ago!! This is a technique that has been around for awhile, but recently I was inpired by a Gina K video... I could keep doing these, but as I get new stencils, (of course, there is that), I will share them again! Here is the link to the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21sbjSc6oEc

Here are some ideas for the 'reverse' stenciling.

This is my favorite stencil pattern & I have no idea where I got it from.

This is a ' Tonic Stencil.

Same tonic stencil & below is another one I can't remember where I got it.

Get out your brushes or sponges, and make a bunch of 4 1/2 x 6 backgrounds. Yes, you will use them! And I did cut them down to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 so they fit an A-2 envelope. The one above is wider, to fit the pattern. Your choice...Oh, have a nice juicy black inkpad. I used a Pink fresh tuxedo black cube, then an ranger archival, then a memento. I really wish they were 'blacker'. Don't use a versafine, thats my advice, as they don't dry quickly.
Thanks for stopping by & go have some fun!

May 10th

Just found some cards that I hadn't shared. So a few more today. These are from Waffle Flower and it is a new 'Abstract hot foil plate' Like the shadow stamps we used in days gone by. Ha! I thought these would be easy, but, they are hard to line up. Maybe I just need some practice!

Like using the  'hello' dies for just about anything!

Two posts today and it is only 6:38 am!! Need to go take more pictures!

                                     Thanks for looking!

May 10th

Its Tuesday morning and even Lucy Lou is still in her kennel..... More Pinkfresh Studio dies to show you today. Butterflys, and more butterflys! Lets get started!

The butterfly is paired with a stamp set, and a hot foil die. I embossed most of the butterflies. The flowers are a 'french' (?) set from Ali & I fussy cut them out.

The next 'gatefold' card design was inspired by Jennifer McGuire.
