HAPPY VALENTINES DAY

Just a couple cards to show you today. The first is another red heart that didn't get in the first post. So, I think they are pretty, and wanted to share!

So this is large, but is turned out so nice. Just needs some pearls and more glitter! I used a template for the "Romantic Swing Card" from a company called dutch doobabadoo. Just google it and you will see a huge variety of images, from basic shapes, stars to teapots, cameras and more. You are supposed to cut with your x-acto I am sure, but I started the cuts, then used a detail scissor. Next I will feature the gatefold. So easy!

LOVE IS..

Today is February 12th. It is almost Valentines day. These 'valentine' cards feature a Marianne heart die. It is sooo lacy & pretty. Hope you enjoy! 

This card and the next one  are both the same. The lacey edges on the side of the heart is a circle die that came with another set.

Ribbon Square Die.

My intent was to show these pics side by side so you could see the difference. This one was taken with the newer Sony. Both pictures had the Auto contrast added in photoshop. Otherwise they were taken in the same light, same conditions, same exact time etc: On my screen the Sony looked better than the Canon, but right now... well, I'll let you be the judge!

First day of February!

Already, it is the 2nd month of 2017. Hope you enjoy this first post. This is about my latest obsession, a Marianne 'ribbon' die. Luckily, I didn't get the round one, (just the square), or this post would be really Long!! In the first part of this I get to compare two cameras,two shots.  Lets get started!


These are a few of the Marianne Designs Cutting sheets. They are only .84 a sheet! Yes, they are from the BUDDLY Crafts in the UK. The shipping is reasonable and it takes 11 days.  About 6 days then it depends on where you are in the USA. The Cartoppers are shown below. They are $2.63 for 3 each of 7 images. They are windmills, houses, snow covered trees, or fields and winter animals. They are a perfect size for the ribbon square die.

The cards above were taken with the canon SX201. 18 megapixel. Love this camera. It is my 'go to" and has been for 4 years. It is bigger than a  'point & shoot' but ALOT smaller than the D70. So the next picture is the same card taken with the Sony A6000. It is about the same size as the SX201 but it has 24 megapixels. It shoots in RAW. It is a long & techie story, but it does almost everything that the D70 does!!  Love the low light capabilities!



 

January 29!

These are some cards I made this month using 'older' Anna Griffin embossing folders. The folders are made for Cuttlebug and Emily had to bring hers over. Well, we both got a bag at the Paper Bunny garage sale earlier this month. The folders are hinged at the top and won't go through the Big shot or the Grand Calibur.

White on white is soooo pretty. Most all of these are 'thank you' for the church



This is the prettiest pale aqua. Couldn't get it to photograph.

First post in 2017!

More 'collage type' cards from a set of Botanical papers. I think they are Graphic-45. These really are 'collage', they just are missing the gesso and the molding paste and/or stenciling. The layered papers are distressed and sponged on some of the cards. Hope you enjoy.
