Wednesday August 28th

Yes, it is still August! Here are a few selections for today. These are the 'stitched edged circle' dies from Spellbinders. The versatility has no end. Add different colors, blend colors, flowers, feathers or any embellishment to tell the story.

The dies feature the 'grid' design and the 'chevron' in the same set of circles

Flower is a 'Kirby' die from Memory box. The babys breath is from Elizabeth crafts. How easy this is to transform into a Christmas greeting. And these are easy to make & add the greetings later depending on the occasion.
The next die is from that same collection. It is the Woven lattice texture. Again, the possibilities are endless!

Thanks for looking! Have some fun today!

Sunday August 25th

I would ask 'where has the month gone?', but I've been lazy about blogging. I have been making cards and we did mail to Bring Smiles to Seniors again.  Last years 'peeking Santa' from Hero arts. They have a bear and a couple other characters new this year.

Made these in July, but just couldn't get them photographed in time!

                                 Thanks for looking!

Monday August 12th

More miscellaneous cards to share. Pocketful of Happiness design dies. Aren't these the best? Versatility for sure.

4" squares and every color, every embellishment makes them different!

Oops the one above is sideways. The lily faces up.

Thanks for looking!

Lucy is waiting for me to open the blinds so she can see outside!

These were made quite a while ago. Just thought I would share as I love doing mixed media. They feature the Tim Holtz 'around the world' die set. The only thing I added were the clouds. The background on the first images are the 3-D mosaic embossing folder.

Sunday August 4th

Just added a background to Instagram. Yes, that is all is, a background made with the AAll & Create Spondazzler die. Pretty dies, but I definitely needed some inspiration. Lets get started...

Took several pictures of the same thing, so I will just feature this one. I cut the smaller dies from kraft cardstock and started gluing. Yes, gluing all the little scrap pieces, (there are 12) all over. I cut them from various colors. Then I ink blended colors over the top of the glued pieces. On the left card I used some speckled egg oxide and some browns. On the right (blueish) card I grabbed distress ink in stormy sky, and uncharted mariner, and scorched earth, then I did add some oxides. The oxides are more opaque. Dried it and let it sit awhile. Then embossed them. Then ran some gilded paste in gold over the top. More scorched earth and some black soot. Think I want more black around the edge of the gold one.
Please if anyone has any ideas for finishing this up it would be appreciated! All I can think of is a big bold Happy Birthday.
Thanks for looking

Just wanted to share what I did with the gold background!
Gertrude needed to get out today! Shes taking the 'scenic' route!
