Saturday

Can't wait to get this started. This is Spellbinders January small die stamp of the month. I said it was the small die, NOT the foil die of the month!  WOW! It worked using the foil!

The above photo shows the original foiling. Just the outline. Below is the process for the 'foil' excess. Sorry I didn't finish a card with it yet.

Solid plate up, and the foil pretty side down. Then the CS. Or whatever paper you decide.

Not perfect, The right side of the heart didn't work at all. I am going to go do that again. Be right back.  I got sidetracked with, well, I make lots of mistakes. Al even asked if I was tired of messing up!

Interesting.. another Cut. It was white & I foiled the CS with the multi color foil..Not too bad, the 2nd or 3rd time. The arch on the right was foiled on my glimmer plate. I put it on the plate the wrong way. Hopes to use it for something, but finally threw it away!
Yup, messed up.. that is the plate below. I did manage to clean it up pretty well.
                                                Ugh.
Below is how the dies should be placed. The the foil on top of the paper cuts.  Do cut the foil as close as you can, as the excess will transfer to your top plate. The foil is pretty side down. I put copy paper over the entire plate to protect the top plate.
This is the Small die of the month & I am so excited as it foiled beautifully. It is the die in the center, the foiled die is on the left, and the foiled CS or die cut on the right!

FYI: I heard that if I used the die to cut the foiled arch, that I would lose the foiling. This is not a foil die.

                            A couple mess ups........

Beautiful background on the solid plate. It is on the black card stock. Just needs to be trimmed up. You know we have embossing powders, and usually the basic silver, gold and copper card stock. I don't have the metal CS, so the colored foils are nice to have available.
This turned out to be more foil experiments, and the 'small die of the month' from spellbinders. So drumroll please! Enjoy these couple of cards that I did finish. They are easy! I am sure I will have more to share!

Not sure what colors to use for the hearts!

The center heart has gold cs behind the aqua heart.

                                Thanks for looking!

Saturday

Good morning!! I have been up forever. Yes, since about 3 :00am. I brought out my Glimmer hot foil machine late yesterday, and when I went to bed I had left so much unfinished.  Talk about 'dreaming', I just had to get up and play! This brings me to my latest die.... the Pinkfresh solid plate. It is so versatile, and this is just the beginning!

This is the Pink fresh daisy 'hot foil' die & I did cut it out using the coordinating cutting die. Notice the outline..... Well, imagine all the foil left on your piece of foil....  Just use the background solid die on your machine. Heat it up. Add the already impressed piece of foil pretty side down, then the cardstock. FYI: you will experiment with cs. I usually use #80 solar white neenah. But, for this reverse piece, I used 32# copy paper. Don't be afraid to try, it is just paper. Love this possibility!

Here is the process.. solid plate heating.
Remember you already 'foiled' the hearts die on another piece of paper .Put the heart strip die on machine base, pretty side up  and put the pretty side of foil facing the heart die. Then your cs on top. Heat and remove. Not shown. Next is the extra piece of foil.
Notice the sandwich below. Solid plate up,foil down facing plate, and your choice of paper on top. Same sandwich for solid plate below.
                                       Are you ready???

                                    Getting  two for one!

Have one more thing to show you so stay in touch!

                                        Thanks for looking!

Friday Friday!!

Good morning! Yes, it is Friday, and since we are retired it is an accomplishment that we even realize the time and which day of the week. Okay enough of that, it is still dark out, so excuse the ramble!

These are the edgeables by Gemini from at least a year ago. I featured them in last years Christmas cards............made more this year, but didn't post them. They have the the round or squared
half arch. Words like Merry, Peace, Wish, Believe, Hope, sparkle,  ..... really liked them all! Happy & Birthday of course.

I didn't post them because they are laying on white (?) paper that looks yellow. ugh.

                                                Another miscellaneous card for you.

Happy happy day to everyone & Thanks for looking!
