Tuesday May 28th

Happy Tuesday to everyone! Have 'goodies' to show you, from Emily. She made an 'Altered Chair' for her friend. And, she has made some pop-up cards to share.

Okay Emily did the pop-up cards using the press & seal technique that Jennifer McGuire showcased on her video. Emily said she used 13 images on the one card! These would make someones day!  They are just 'happy' cards!

Thanks for looking!

Sunday May 26th

Good morning, another beautiful morning in Henderson. Flowers blooming, probably in the 70's later today. This is just a look at my table. My dining room table that stays like this all the time. unfortunately it is right in line with the front door. Expect to see a mess when you visit! Its a fun mess, but it looks like a craft room not a dining/living room.
Lucy Lou is the only one that uses the couch in here. She likes to bark at whatever she sees out the front window! Yes, she barks at everything. That is why the blind is half-closed.
She is 'sort of'  like a cat
I started to do a new post, but I will share these cards today. Thanks for looking at my house and Lucy Lou!
The dies came from Ali express, but I later found out they were originally Gemini dies from Crafters Companion. I am not sure if they are still available.

The '70' is the card. The envelope behind makes it look like the 70 numbers are on top, but this one is a top folded 70. The 50  (and most of the others) are arranged on the base. I wanted 5.5x 5.5, not such a big card.  I fussy cut the gold layer behind the black 50. Adding layers with the stencils makes a fatter card.

The 10 is one of the shaped ones

So many possibilities, so little time!!Ha!
Thanks for looking today,
Have a blessed Week

Tues. May 21st

Wanted to share this card with you! It is a LARGE tonic die. I think the original price was about $35.00. I got is on closeout for $ 10.00. Imagine my surprise when I saw the package. It is called the Ornate Frame layering die. There are 11 dies in the set, the largest is an 8 1/4" oval. They are all ovals and yes, they are worth the $$! The largest one I used on my journal is 7". Wish I had taken a picture of the die package.

                 My 'go to' card is and A-2 or a 4 1/2x 6 or a square. I very rarely use a 5x7. This might even be a 5x8.
 Thanks for looking!

Good morning! I just realized my second little slider card wasn't on my last 'share'. It is another unicorn. This one was a Neat & tangled stamp and die. Really got into the unicorn theme! More to come...

Wednesday May 15th

Another lovely morning in Las Vegas. Weather check says 90's! We just got a new air conditioner, energy efficient and all that. Hopefully, our summer electric bill will be less this year.
Just a couple more cards to show you. Love love the  double slider from Lawn Fawn. Although, it takes me ages to figure out what to put on the 3 sections. For now I am into unicorns!! Cutesy. The first one is an extended 'double slider'. I used 'dress my crafts unicorn papers to decorate. That was about it!

                                         Closed (front) of the card

Just love this paper!

Monday Monday ....

Monday May 13th. Busy week visiting and baking. Made individual lemon  pavlovas last weekend, then this week made a red cake, raspberry coulis, Iranian sugar cookies , sweet, spicy popcorn and Al's yummy ribs! Lets not forget that one was on a diet! oh, no!  Good food, good family, a nice Mothers day weekend. I barely took any pictures. Just a few sitting around the table. And the dog. Yep, Lucy always gets her picture taken. For now, I will just share a few cards. Barky Lucy.
Both these cards were made using the press & seal technique. Check out Jennifer McGuire for the you tube instructions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QwL-8CUk4Bo&t=842s  she calls them 'See through' cards. The pink card below was done using Stampendous jumbo rose die & stamp combo. It was so easy as the stamps are large and easily connected.

The next one is my favorite Pinkfresh floral. It has much smaller pieces and can be delicate and harder to hold. I want to do more of this technique.

Sunday May 5th

Happy Sunday to all our friends and family! Starting out to be a busy month. Its really busy if I actually have to 'clean' my dining room table to EAT, not craft! Oh no!!  We had family for an afternoon visit, and early dinner. Very nice. The paper cutter and gemini are back and ready for morning crafting! May is perfect for visiting as it is warm, but not real hot. Next week is mothers day and Doug will be here, and we will cook again. Today we had chicken wrapped in prosciutto, next Sunday will be ribs. Maybe I will take some pictures of people, not just cards!
This is exactly as it looks, a border stamp, stamped with memento and colored with copics. The stamp is from Pinkfresh designs.

Not fabulous, just a repeat of the front stamp stamped on the inside with room for a verse or message.

                                       Thanks for looking!
