September 25th

Hi to all! It is Right in the middle of the day, and I am photographing my cards. Just finished this miscellaneous selection. Thought I might share them before they get lost in the 'SD stick shuffle!! This is an old PSX tulip stamp. Love the tulips! These are removed from the wood. The next two are old, old LOVE from Serendipity stamps, and the bouquet from PSX rubberstamps.

Love this bouquet stamp
Next is a sunflower collage (still on the wood), from USA Art Quest. Just made this one this morning.
Yes, I still love the old wood stamps!

Now for the NEW collection The next four are from The Greetery. It is called Wetlands. There are about 6 dies included. Sorry I don't do props with my posts. If I did you would probably see the same copics, oxides, lace, twine ribbon & whatever else all the time. So no, I don't go digging to make that perfect shot. I shoot for the card.

The multi color 'greens' turned out to be a favorite.

Black splatters (below) look nicer than the gold splatter above.

                                           Thats it for now,

                                         Thanks for looking!

Tues Sept 16th

Good morning!  Still early and this is my second post today. This time it is Christmas cards I made since I've been here. My room is a disaster, but I am working around it, and learning which box is where! Ha. As long as I put things away! So these are new Sizzix Swap & Snap Christmas themed dies.

There is the primary 'frame' die with the curved banner, the Merry Christmas words, string of lights, and holly. The trees and the presents are really fun.
I cut the trees in green paper. shaded the edges, and splattered the white to make them look snow covered. I have extra trees, of course.

Trees and more trees. And the car bringing the tree home.

Glossy accents on the lights! Decorated car??

I told you trees, trees and more trees.

One more! More trees, layers on the garland.

That is it for today!
Thanks for looking
Mary

Tuesday Sept. 16th

Good morning! Still here, still unpacking and putting away. Its been 6 plus weeks since we got here. This is 400 sq.ft. smaller than our last home. Pictures are still sitting on the floor. Unbelievable number of boxes still in the garage, look at them, and put them back. Good grief. Lucy likes the big window in the living room and the yard with a chain link so she can see out. We love being close to Doug & we've had lots of meals together already!

This last week has been unbelievable; our nation has faltered. Let me just say we are so sad for Charlie Kirks family. One more thing. Please actually listen to what he tried to portray. Don't just make a quick judgement on what you heard others say. What a tragedy.

I was going to share some cards but just let this be a moment where we reflect our desires for our families and our nation. How do we really want this to end. Safety in the streets? Letting our kids be kids & not teaching them how to reproduce at 5? Yes, I said it. Do you want to be free to worship God? Again, so much more to think about, kindness, loyalty, love, truly helping others...... I will just leave it here

                                                 Thanks for listening!

Saturday Sept. 6th

Good Morning!! Yes, it has been over a month since I shared a post. So I am going to include a life 'update' with some pretty cards that were made a couple months ago.

The big thing is that we moved again (twice in 2 1/2 years) to yet another state. This time to be closer to our son and his family. From Nevada to Oregon to Washington state. Each time was a major move. Actually we started in Oregon in the 1990's. Here we are.

These cards are from Elizabeth Craft Designs. A bit old fashioned (like our house here), yes it had a front door with an oval window. Yes, again clear glass, easy to break into. Nice. Back to the cards a chickadee. How cute. The big oval background is from Elizabeth Craft designs.

The little cheery blossoms are so sweet. ECD has some flower dies that feature several flowers or leaves on the same die. Easy cut.

I took this from her video, really the birds are so easy to assemble

Coming up, more 'bird' cards. But first, some bad moving stuff. First of there was a hold on our bank account. Trust me, this never happened before..........2025, I guess. Then I got locked out of yahoo. Still am locked out. So new e-mail is theartismx@gmail.com. I really hate to post this, but we'll see what happens with so-called privacy. Then, oh my goodness, the things to replace here in the littlest house and oldest house ever. All the blinds, some curtain rods, the lighting fixtures, fans..........all the stuff you already did in the other houses. Wait, the dishwasher too!! Pulled the door open & it almost fell off! Okay, what happened to the Washington state inspector. So complaint #1, was the transaction here, they red-tagged the electrical box, but didn't require it fixed.... Duh, how that that make sense? All they wanted was the smoke detector's upgraded and straps on the water heater. Anyway, I had a fit. And it was fixed by the buyers to the tune of $5,400.00. Stand up for yourself. The chimney here was also tagged and not fixed. The inspector didn't care I guess. We are not building a fire it it ever. Lots of things were tagged plumbing. It was fixed, but I dont' think it was checked completely. We called for a bathroom remodel, and their little scam/scan saw water in the corners of the tile. Ummm. To expensive for the remodel. Did I say we slept in the living room on an air mattress for the first couple weeks.....This place needs air worse than anything.

                                             Will miss this time together!

Birds from Spellbinders. Chirp.

More "You are the Best" word die. The butterfly is a Memory Box die.
So thanks for listening to my ramblings. Next time will be 'just' cards. And yes, I finally made some new cards and photographed a couple sets. Now we edit and post.

                                                             Thanks for looking!
