First Monday
Christmas is only 22 days from now, yes, 22 days to bake, shop, cook, clean, wrap and mail your cards! Woo Ho! My cards are done and I will share those later. For now, I would like to share some of the cards I made this Summer. This is the Peeking Santa stamp and die set from Gerda Steiner designs.

THANKFUL
This is just a short 'share'. These are the cards I did for one of the churches. They give out the cards to their volunteers as a Thanks for everything they do. In case you are wondering, there are parking lot attendants, ushers, greeters, and the list is endless! Remember to count your blessings today!

Thankful & Grateful
Thanksgiving week is here. There is so much to be thankful for in this country. There is so much to be thankful for in my own home! So on Monday morning of this special week lets start by sharing some cards. These were made with various tree 'dies', the white trees are memory box and the black tree is from wish. The rest of the dies are Tim Holtz Funky Folia dies. They are little, teeny pieces & I pretty much cut for hours in different colors! That was fun ( yes, really). Then I just put things in place till I liked the arrangement. The frame is from My favorite things.
Of course, there has to be a shaker card! |
Oh look, I repeated the same picture! Must have liked it!! |
Thanks for looking! Be thankful!

Wednesday Wednesday, Wasn't there a song......
Nice morning here. Thought I would share a few more Miscellaneous cards I've made in the last three months. First card is stamps from 'Wish' called Pawsome. The next selections are from a stamp set from Picket fence stamps. Set is called 'Part of the Pack'. Pretty fun. Of course I did more shaker cards!
Not a great image, but the words in this set are pretty nice. |
Thanks for looking!

Monday Nov 12th
Think maybe I should get some of these pictures on my blog? All the time we were taking care of and missing our Gracie, I was still making cards. I will stop right here and start sharing! Hope you enjoy!
These are all made with Spellbinders Layered Butterfly & Layered Hugs dies. The butterflies have 3 layers! |
The next cards are made with Poppy background dies from The Ton.
The coloring was different on each of these. The 'earthy' colored one was embossed in white and colored in with oxides. One was water colored and one colored with copics. |

Sunday, October 28th
Nothing has changed. I still miss Gracie like it was yesterday. Have been trying to put her little life in some kind of order, but today I am determined to finish this so I can share some cards!
This is July of 2018. She was diagnosed with kidney failure in Oct. 2017. She acted fine for the next 9 months, so I blame myself for not following up. She just quit eating in July. Then she would rally and we would think, I am not sure what?. The vet was clear, she was dying. I applaud his honestly, but honestly he, they, all of them there should have tried to make her life more bearable. She was miserable, at least from some time in August to Oct. The next picture is
about 2013. Gracie loved her 'jewelry'. That included the tote bag behind the door in the computer room which she checked every morning. Sniff. Anything the groomer put on her, her leash, her old collar & one lone tennis ball.
These are 2014. Someone referred to the look below as 'muffin mouth' yup she had one when she expected the ball or a treat!
Loved her yard. Al put the grass in just for her! 2017
Love this picture 2016
Both the top & bottom pictures are August this year. She liked to be with us Al mostly. She had lost a lot of weight by Aug. Just super furry!
October 5th 2018. Sweet Gracie.
Thanks for looking.

Two Weeks today.
We said 'Goodbye' to our precious Gracie. This post might be therapy for me, and it might convince people that the 'just a dog' is not true. Ok, its a record of Gracie's short life for me, and those who loved her.
How it began?? On Valentine day 2010 we visited the Lied shelter in Las Vegas. Some one dumped a ball of fur in my lap and said 'you will love her'. They were so right! Precious and Yummy. I said that to her everyday. And she is.
She is almost all white at 8 weeks old.
Too funny. I repeat this everyday for 8 years!
We had the pool so we set up temporary fence for early morning training. This is where the 'precious & yummy' started. I would praise her after she finished, and carry her in the house at 3:am. She always tried to jump out of my arms!
Still 2010. She started turning in to a black dog! Al is nuts about her. Gracie and I in 2010 in the picture below. Gracie & Al.
A year old.

Ornery! |
Gracie has a ton of play things including her food dish which she treats like a skateboard. Hilarious to watch! The other big deal is "now" her attention getter. She plays 'roll over, kick her legs straight out, and growl, (or talk), and stop long enough to see if we are looking. Looks around, does the 'roll over' until we acknowledge her. Then when we "your soooo cute", its time for a treat! She performed for us.
Gracie & Zoeie in 2013
A rollover! Here we go!!
Actually she is looking to see if someone is paying attention. This 'rollover' is 2016. Be happy I didn't pick one for each year of her life! |
When I say we laughed everyday for eight years, I wasn't kidding! Besides the antics with the food dish & the 'rollovers' she had routines. One was when Al got home from work....I mean AS SOON as he walked in the door at 4:00pm she wanted to go outdoors with him! Wow, when he picked up that I pad, she was wiggling and running for the door! She made sure he was following her too!!
One more Goofy thing is when we are in the bathroom she puts her squeak toys ( she has 18 & sometimes I think she can pick them out by name or color), yeah she puts them in the bathtub and barks till you get them out & throw them. Or one more thing, Al throws the ball inside the tub & she tries to chase it.
These were 2017
2016
Everyone is goofy! Gracie looks trapped!
Always where we are 2017 |
I will continue my "Gracie" story in the next post. I might be shorter than this one...maybe. I used to say I could wallpaper the house with pictures of Gracie!
Thanks for looking
Mary
